“Life and Happiness”

Putting it out there for everyone. What harm could I possibly do? Besides, the highest cost of communication is no communication.  I want to thank You for this occasion and also take the opportunity to share a bit of my realizations about choice, regret, pain, suffering, and happiness, in a nutshell Life.  I was fortunate at a young age to start basing decisions on what I would reminisce when I lived eighty years or more.  Moreover, if I was afraid of something, then I was ultimately enslaved.  Given the longevity in my family I would be near a hundred at that time.

I was asked in my early twenties “What I regretted?”  I said, “Nothing, I’ve done some things I wouldn’t do again, but that I didn’t regret doing them because that’s what I chose at that moment for a reason. Chalk it up to a lesson learned, but ‘choice’ is the most powerful thing we have.”

Over the years, we all have dealt with the “ups and downs”, “pain and suffering”, but it’s the balance we must choose to tilt toward happiness.  If you, your “self” cannot make “yourself” happy, then no one or thing can.  So now that you’re here, you must choose to make your “self’s” happy.  Admit that no one knows the right way.  But, you’ll choose your way and choose to be happy and you’ll figure it out as you go, together.

Accept that the deepest pain and suffering you encounter will be the effect of choices made by loved ones, consciously or subconsciously. But, you must choose to tip the scale back to happy.  Be the person you’re proud to be, and when you die wish nothing was changed…

About ABSTRACT KING

I'm originally from a small town in Central Texas, Lampasas. In the early stages writing was often spurred by some emotional event. What is currently on the Abstract King website is "the tip of the iceberg" so to speak. A pile of indecipherable hand written journals, thousands of photos, and hundreds of hours of video have sat collecting dust in storage over the years. Wondering about the effects fire, flood, or death would have on this massive amount of "me", drove me to create something more permanent. So, I began digitizing all the written words, editing, and sharing pieces with friends. The site is an extension of the positive feedback and intrinsic value I have received since. For the sake of creation, I put it out there for you. If you have an emotional response along the paths in my kingdom, then that's a bonus!
